CT Recreational Marijuana Sales Hit $250K in First 7 Hours
MONTVILLE, CT – On Tuesday, seven of Connecticut’s existing medicinal marijuana establishments began legally selling recreational marijuana.
During the first seven hours of sales that day, state regulators reported over $250,000 in recreational marijuana sales, according to AP News.
By the end of 2023, up to 40 other dispensaries and dozens of other cannabis-related businesses are expected to open up in the state.
The state-approved shops that were allowed to begin selling recreational marijuana to adults ages 21 and up were located in Branford, Meriden, Montville, New Haven, Newington, Stamford, and Willimantic.
