Democrat Representative Freeman Sponsors TN Cannabis Act
NASHVILLE, TN – Democrat Representative Bob Freeman sponsors “Free All Cannabis for Tennesseans Act”, also known as HB0085.
FOX17 News reports the bill details a structure for cultivating, processing, and selling marijuana in Tennessee. The bill proposes that all of those processes be created and handled by the Department of Agriculture.
Furthermore,the bill allows adults to use, possess, or transport up to 60 grams of marijuana or up to 15 grams of marijuana concentrate. Under this bill Tennessee residents will be allowed to grow up to 12 plants on their property. This will only be allowed if their property is secured and the plants are not visible to the public. Additionally, if a doctor signs off on it, parents and legal guardians will be allowed to administer cannabis products to minors with medical conditions.
