Farm Tours Launch Ahead of Recreational Cannabis Sales in VT
As Vermont prepares for the legal sale of recreational cannabis in October, two licensed cultivators invite the public to tour their farms.
According to Vermont Business Magazine, Vermontijuana Cannabis Tours are scheduled to begin on August 19th at two outdoor cannabis farms in northern Vermont.
Every Friday evening for six weekends, Ben Wilcox of Off Piste Farm will host tours of his Sutton farm. Eli Harrington will lead tours of Vermontijuana Farmstead in Irasburg on Sunday afternoons. The website lists a few Saturday dates as well.
Harrington and Wilcox hope the tours will get people excited about the October launch by giving them a look at the cultivation process for legal cannabis. Both of the farms included in the tours plan to supply cannabis to retailers starting in the fall.
Tour participants must be over the age of 21. Cannabis samples and sales are not permitted, but visitors do have the option to bring and partake of their own marijuana. Guests can also purchase other farm products, such as CBD, maple syrup, eggs, produce, and chickens.
Participants will meet at local bars for transport by bus to the designated farms. Sunday tours can accommodate up to 40 participants, while Friday tours will allow 20.
Tickets for the tour are $29 and can be purchased through Sevendaytickets.Com.
