Fire Station Cannabis Co. Proposes ‘Cannabis Camp’ Event at Marquette Tourist Park

MARQUETTE, MI – Local cannabis company, Fire Station Cannabis Co., is looking to hold Michigan’s first cannabis event in the Upper Peninsula this upcoming fall.

According to WLUC, the event will be a celebration of arts and culture, as well as an opportunity to educate the community on marijuana products, effects, and upcoming projects.

The owners of Fire Station are hoping to bring in both licensed and non-licensed cannabis entrepreneurs or companies, as well as local artists and musicians.

Although Fire Station will be the only licensed cannabis vendor allowed to sell at they event, the owners want to make sure other vendors are represented.

Currently, the approval process for the Camp Cannabis event is just getting started. Once the Marquette Parks and Recreation Department approves the special events permit, the city commission will need to approve a license for the event. After that, the matter will go on to the state government for final approval.

Organizers are planning the 3-day event for early October at Marquette’s Tourist Park.
