GA Bill Expanding Medicinal Cannabis Licenses Close to Passing

ATLANTA, GA – A bill that will expand the number of medicinal marijuana licenses from six to 15 passed in the Senate and is going back to the House for approval.

At this time only two licenses have been approved and the other four are currently tied up in lawsuits, according to Rome News-Tribune. Nine companies lost bids to those four for the licenses. If this bill is passed, then those nine companies can compete for the licenses opened up if they drop their lawsuits.

The House originally passed the bill and it went to the Senate where it was approved. However, as the bill was significantly changed it must be passed in the House again.
