Gap closing between genders under 30 who use cannabis
The gender gap of those who have or currently use cannabis in ages 19 to 30 is the smallest it has ever been dating back to 1985.
Recent reporting shares that as of 2021, 42.1% of women have used marijuana in the last 12 months. This is much closer to the gap for men than in past years, which was 43.4%.
Additionally, two-fifths of young men and women overall report using marijuana in the previous 12-month span.
This report concludes that marijuana use is at an all-time high. Experts feel this means the stigma around cannabis is slowly declining.
