Massachusetts Marijuana Sales Surpass $151 Million in June

MASSACHUSETTS – Sales of legal marijuana in Massachusetts reached new heights in June, with combined recreational and medical cannabis transactions reaching $151.8 million.

According to MJBizDaily, data from the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) recorded a total of $132.8 million in recreational sales with $19 million in medical sales in June alone, representing a 2% increase over the previous month.

Flower products continued to dominate the market as the top preference among adult consumers, with vape products, pre-rolls, edibles, and concentrates following suit.

Notably, the average price of flower cannabis hit a new record low, plummeting to $5.82 per gram last month. This information reflects the evolving market dynamics and affordability of cannabis products in Massachusetts.

Recent data also revealed that Massachusetts generated more tax revenue from marijuana than alcohol for the first time last year.

“Marijuana Establishments and Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers offer tested products with detailed packaging and labeling information about product contents, statewide access for adults and patients seeking alternatives to the illicit market, and adult-use cannabis tax revenue for key initiatives including youth prevention campaigns and community reinvestment funds,” CCC said.
