MN House, Senate Need Agreement Among Cannabis Bill Differences

ST. PAUL, MN – The Senate passed a cannabis bill that legalizes recreational marijuana; however, it has multiple differences from the one passed by the House this week.

CBS NEWS reports due to the many differences among the bills passed that the Senate and House must come to an agreement before the bill can go to the Governor to be signed into law.

Differences among the bill include varying tax percents, amount of cannabis allowed on personal property, local government’s limitation powers, and expungement effective date.
