Nevada judge rules Cannabis no longer controlled substance
CLARK COUNTY, NV – After years of inconsistency with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy, Judge Joe Hardy ruled last week that they no longer have the authority to regulate cannabis or its derivatives.
This ruling overrides a previous ruling that cannabis couldn’t be classified as a Schedule 1 controlled substance, 2News reports. Now it can not be classified as any controlled substance.
Marijuana has been legal for decades in Nevada but there have been inconsistencies in law enforcement around it due to the Nevada Board of Pharmacy previously being able to classify it as a controlled substances.
Thanks to this recent ruling many hope there will be more cannabis equity and inclusion in the state moving forward.
