NM Yearly Recreational Marijuana Sales Over $300 Million
NEW MEXICO – Over the last 12 months the state had over $300 million in recreational marijuana sales which equated to $27 million in excise taxes.
According to FOX NEWS, currently there are 633 registered cannabis retailers in New Mexico. These retailers continue to grow across the state since recreational marijuana was legalized on April 1, 2022.
Of the $27 million in excise taxes, the local governments receive a 12% minority share.
Sales to Texas residents account for a large amount of New Mexico recreational marijuana sales.
