SD Legislation Passed Revising Medicinal Cannabis Program
SIOUX FALLS, SD – The state’s legislation approved a bill that adds eight medical conditions to their medicinal cannabis program.
Under the current medicinal program in South Dakota prescriptions were based on symptoms, according to KELOLAND. This new bill allows doctor’s to write a prescription for medicinal marijuana if a patient has one of the eight approved medical conditions.
As of right now the state only has 8,100 patients in the program but legislators are hoping this new bill gives doctor’s more freedom to prescribe medicinal cannabis.
