ZURICH, CH – The Swiss government approved a trial for this summer that will allow for the legal sale and consumption of cannabis.
According to CNBC, this summer 2,100 Zurich residents will be part of a test group that are allowed to buy regulated doses of cannabis. They will be allowed to purchase cannabis from pharmacies, special dispensaries, and social clubs.
Each participant involved in the trial must answer a questionnaire every six months as part of the trial. The questions will be on consumption habits and health effects experienced during the study.
The goal of the trial is to help determine if Switzerland should legalize cannabis across the country.
