While many cannabis users prefer other types of edibles, including brownies and cookies, others prefer hard candy. And while the process of making hard candy might seem daunting, it’s actually relatively simple!
By using cannabutter and additional ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen, you can create some delectable hard candy treats that you can carry with you on the go.
What Is Cannabutter?
Cannabutter is butter that has been infused with cannabis. Whether you are making pot brownies or weed gummies, cannabutter is an essential component in almost all cannabis edibles, including hard candy. For cannabis users who prefer to consume cannabis through edibles, knowing how to make cannabutter is a critical part of the process.
It can take a few hours to make a batch of cannabutter since you’ll need to dry, activate, and infuse the cannabis into the mixture before it is ready to be used in your edible recipe.
Can Cannabutter Be Used to Make Hard Candy?
Cannabutter can definitely be used to make hard candy. Nearly all weed edibles use cannabutter.
To make your cannabutter, you’ll need to combine a cup of butter or oil with about 14 grams of cannabis. We recommend using cannabis trim if you grow your own plants and saving the cannabis flower for smoking purposes if you partake. While the flower contains the highest percentage of cannabinoids, the marijuana plant’s large leaves, sugar leaves, stems, and other parts also contain a decent percentage of cannabinoids, making them perfect for cannabutter infusions. Don’t let the trim go to waste!
The cannabis must first be ground (into small pieces) and decarbed (oven-baked) before you can add it to your cannabutter mixture. Decarbing is relatively straightforward. You’ll preheat your oven to about 245 degrees Fahrenheit, spread your ground cannabis trim out on a baking sheet, and bake it for about an hour.
Once the cannabis has been decarbed, you’ll remove it from the oven and grind it further until it is essentially a fine powder. You’ll need to heat the cup of butter in a saucepan over low heat until melted, at which point you can add the cannabis. Let the mixture simmer for a while, stirring occasionally. As soon as the powder has been totally absorbed into the mixture, your cannabutter is ready.
Many people are going dairy-free these days, so if you prefer a vegan option, you can always use non-dairy butter, coconut oil, or even ghee to make your cannabutter.

Remember: it takes time to feel the effects of edibles. You may not feel the effects immediately, so don’t go back for more until an hour or two has passed.
How LĒVO II Could Help
LĒVO II utilizes a patented technology to streamline the oil infusion process. The new, second-generation LEVO makes it easy to infuse butter, oil, milk, honey, and more with herbs that boost your wellness, including cannabis flowers. Many cannabis users utilize LĒVO devices to make cannabutter for marijuana edibles.
Before the LĒVO existed, cannabis enthusiasts typically had two choices. First, they could spend hours drying, activating, and infusing their own oils by hand. This process is long, tiresome, and messy. The other option was to purchase pre-made cannabis edibles. Marijuana users who didn’t have the time or energy to create their own infusions would be forced to purchase store-bought cannabis products containing questionable ingredients at higher prices.
Thanks to LĒVO, cannabis lovers can make their own infusions and control the ingredients going into their products without the stress and labor of doing it by hand. The LĒVO dries, activates, and infuses cannabutter and other products at the touch of a button.
The device also looks great in any kitchen. Along with a sleek, modern design, the LĒVO comes in five gorgeous colors: cream, black, green, blue, and red. The device features an easy-to-use digital display screen where you can adjust temperature and time settings and even save your preferences for future infusions. And if you choose to store the device between batches, it is small enough to fit in a standard kitchen cabinet or on a pantry shelf.
Every LĒVO II contains a reservoir, an herb pod, and a silicone stirrer. Clean-up is also simplified. Once your LĒVO has finished infusing your oil, all you have to do is wash the reservoir, pod, and stirrer with soap and warm water or stick them in the dishwasher. All of LEVO’s interior parts are composed of non-toxic materials.
You shouldn’t have to choose between buying pre-made products with low-quality or vague ingredients and spending long hours trying to manually concoct your own cannabis creations. If you are hoping to simplify the process of making hard candy edibles, including THC lollipops, purchase your LĒVO today.
